What two long years of reaping starchy edible tubers for snack giant Frito Lay could not do was finally accomplished when this humongous frog was witnessed in the boy’s washroom in hostel-H. The Biotechnology department eventually managed to punch above its weight and got worldwide recognition for being home to this ghastly critter for over a decade. (Remember it is the first to be in the limelight because team Fateh and Mech Dept. have to wait till 2056 as per Alex havoc summers and I swear to God I have not been paid by anybody to mention hostel-H in my tushery, and I assure you people this does not count as publicity,*sigh* guess the ACUMEN season has got to me as well). The Biotech students are jubilant and have realized that becoming OSC of a fest is not the sole way of getting placed and to make money, they can get jobs from college too.The frog was first spotted by a mechanical student in his 6 weeks training session at Thapar when he was taking a shower, apparently the frog was so much scared on watching the hairy body of that human that it smashed the bathroom door and ran for safety. For the student also it was a spine-chilling experience, he was ecstatic about the fact that he shared the washroom with someone who was not from his own batch. It is believed that the frog continued to dwell in the same washroom for a whole semester but the students who inhabited the rooms near it never visited it in the full five months period. But recently when a civil student was out there to study the architecture and structure of the washroom for his project he found the frog taking a bath. He instantly reported the issue to the guard who was busy adjusting his scope which pointed towards Tanki.
The “frog from hell” as people like to call it, is 2-3 times bigger than the Beelzebufo ampinga, the earlier known biggest frog. This frog measures 40 centimeters across its squat head, and probably more than 80 centimeters from snout to tail. it has small thapar logos covering its entire skin, we hope the Admin has little role to play in it (I don’t know how the girls still find it cute).Once this news spread, since then the campus is flooded with reporters and presenters from various T.V channels, Discovery and National Geographic to name a few With wildlife preservationists vying for an exclusive coverage and study of frog, inspired by the IPL auctions the Thapar Admin has decided to auction the rights for its filming and photography.
The scientists believe that it is the last surviving creature of a species that is said to be responsible for the extinction of the mighty T-rex. ”These frogs could hunt down 3-4 T-rex in day and would prey on them, but I am pretty sure that they won’t harm humans”, said Professor Manoj Baranwal who is specialist in animal studies as he snuggled in the frog’s arms.
