Not Tony Stark! We built the Iron-Man Suit

by Lance Alvers

You can’t keep information under the wraps for long when you have intrepid reporters possessing superhuman powers keeping an Argus eye on things.( FNT has been really working hard to get vital information at your doorsteps, so that you are just one click away from your daily appetite of significant data :P ). And here we are again with some shocking news that would find its place on the cover page of every magazine and newspaper by tomorrow morning. The Electronics and Communication Dept. of Thapar University has finally spilled beans on an issue that was under the lid since ages. The iron man armor which was supposedly fabricated by Tony Stark is actually an invention of ECED, Thapar University.

The head of department of ECE came up with this traumatizing piece of news when he was continuously shot questions at regarding the utilization of funds by the department. “We had to come up with something to save ourselves from the wrath of placement deprived students, I know our students deserve jobs but they are not getting one since long. And they can vent out their anger on the professors and the college building”, said Mr. Chatterjee citing their safety as the prime reason for the construction of this suit.

But students are skeptical about these reports; they believe that it is just another faux pas by the department to divert the attention from its poor performance to something implausible. “How can you chew this fact? People who don’t know how to operate projectors and laptops, how can they come up with something as proficient as this”, was a deadpan response of a student who has been consistently helping the professors with the regular equipment. Still shocked by the news, a girl challenged the claims of the department questioning their color choice, “You can’t expect people with such bad taste to come up with such a good color scheme for the suit”, referring to the red and golden colors. But the faculty’s take on this is that they just gave the armor the colors of the thapar logo. “The red dot and the golden yellow background left us with no other choice, black is expensive so we preferred not to use it”, said a faculty advisor. However there are people who hold the opinion that suit is created by a top student who didn't get placed, so he fabricated this suit to take vengeance by attacking the department.

But if you go by the sources then the question regarding the usage of funds is still unclear because they believe that no money has been spent on this project. According to them the remnants of the material used by Team Fateh served as the raw material for the creation of the suit. (The noob cutting of the metal pieces was a big give away that a TF student had worked on it) Also the ECE students, who were not picked up by any company for training, assisted the faculty in this development.  They have not yet been paid by the authorities and to add to their woes even this piece of hardware will not fetch them an A in their training semester.  But they still have not lost hope and are quite sure that they will get to wear this suit at least once and their dream of landing on the girls’ hostel rooftop will be eventually fulfilled.

  1. I wonder which lab they used to carry out this work.. the ancient Comm. lab or the ever so transparent Fiber Optics lab?

  2. Well, u being an ECE student should not be oblivious of the fact that ECE ppl dn't need labs to synthesize high end technology products...FYI the armor was constructed on the rooftop of tanki and some other tiny parts were being worked upon in the AAHAAR backyard..see, good food is the key to all inventions..
